We are increasing our usage of Power BI in our organization.  All our prior reporting systems we have used in the past had standard admin security reports.  A pain point I'm facing is trying to identify which Groups/Users are assigned to a published App.  Yes, there are API's to get this, but even those require the usage of two API's to get the mappings.  I'm not sure why security reporting within the tool would not be considered for compliance purposes.   Suggestion:  Standard Power BI Admin reports to extract which groups are assigned to which apps.   FYI...I also tried the Power Automate to use the API's.  There are standard connectors for Power BI, but nothing for admin security reports.  This means we have to go through the whole app regristration process just to get this data.   ... Hello Team, This is to highlight the user facing issues with the Dataflow Gen2 CI/CD where user is able to use Dataflow Gen2 standerd one  DF Refresh Issue When DF Gen2 CI/CD is taken over by User 2, and User 1 tries to refresh the dataflow, an error occurs: “There was a problem refreshing the dataflow. Please review the error message(s) below, fix the problem, and try again.” This issue does not occur in standard Gen2 Dataflows (non-CI/CD). As a workaround, you are currently using normal Gen2 Dataflows. Hi The alternative Block Arrows under the menu Insert >Shapes, is translated to Blockera pilar in Swedish version Power BI Desktop and that means Prevent Arrows, instead of Brick Arrows/Block pliar. Today, Microsoft Fabric Eventstream supports destinations such as Activator, Custom Endpoint (HTTP), Eventhouse, Lakehouse and Stream. There is no native option to send Eventstream output directly to Azure Event Hubs (or other AMQP / Kafka‐compatible event systems). Adding Azure Event Hubs as a built‐in destination would enable: Real-time high-throughput output from Eventstream into existing event pipelines. Native integration with external consumers, microservices or other event hubs without custom workarounds. Reduced latency and operational complexity by eliminating intermediate lakes/sinks or custom forwarding functions. Better alignment with enterprise event-driven architectures already using Azure Event Hubs. Use cases: IoT event ingestion in Fabric → publish to Event Hubs and downstream microservices. Fabric as streaming ingest & routing layer, then external analytics/stream-processing via Event Hubs. Multi-tenant or cross-subscription event forwarding where downstream systems expect Event Hubs. Benefits: Streamlines architecture; fewer moving parts. Reduces cost and latency of custom forwarding. Currently, Power BI allows us to open multiple windows in DAX Query View and even rename them for clarity. However, there is no way to save these windows. This creates a limitation: Often, work in Query View is not finished in a single session. Without the ability to save, progress is lost and must be manually reconstructed later. I want to make RLS changes in the Service and in Desktop, and the experience should be identical. Each time go into the workspace, the top half of the screen is used up with a prompt to build a task flow as shown below.   I can hit the arrow on the far right of the section to minimize the page so I get a full list of the tables and such.  But if I go to a different workspace, the same screen prompt occurs wasting realestate, forcing me to close it again to view things the way I want to.  I didn't see any way to prevent that portion of the screen to be used that way. The default interaction setting between new component and existing components is Filter each other. However, in most cases we need the interaction between only a few visuals. So this setting needs to have more advanced options like Filter None and Remove all Filters, so that in one click we can disable the Interaction of the new component with all others, and also set the component not filterable by others. And then enable the filter interaction between only the selective visuals. This will save a lot of time and prevents missing out any interaction, as due to the order of the components, Filter/None option will hide behind other visuals. ... View more

InPower BI Desktop, you can define parameters with a list of allowed values, allowing users to select from a dropdown instead of typing a value manually. In Deployment Pipelines, these parameters currently appear as free-text fields, even if a list of allowed values is set. This can lead to errors when entering server names, database connections, or other environment-specific values. Proposal: Enable Deployment Pipelines to display allowed values as a dropdown, just like in Desktop. This would improve reliability, reduce typing errors, and make it easier to configure Dev/Test/Prod environments consistently. It would be really helpful if you could mass apply or format paint the same conditional formatting for one measure and easily apply that to different measures across reports/pages. I've had to individually apply the same font conditional formatting for 5 different measures in the 3 different reports/pages I've created. Would help save a lot of time.   ... View more
