When building Power BI reports it is sometimes useful to update DirectQuery sources manually, if the underlying reports change - say due to a requirement by the builder of the new report that influences the original. Currently the only way to force an update it so refresh all data sources, but this can be time consuming when dealing with a composite model of DirectQuery and Import Mode sources, so it would be useful to be able to manually force an update for DirectQuery sources individually. ... When we connect to multiple Semantic Models in a single Power BI report, it can become impossible to determine which tables comes from which sources. Proper naming can aleviate that but the problem persists when inheriting older reports. If one of those underlying Semantic Models has to be retired it can be a long process of trial and error to determine which tables were brought in from which Semantic Models, so having the ability to do so natively in Power BI would help with reconstructing reports. ... We are currently migrating data in such a way that some Power BI reports, which are used as DirectQuery sources for other reports, have had to be rebuilt. The new reports are identical in all ways to the old ones, so it would be useful to have the ability to swap out links for DirectQuery connections to Semantic Models similarly to how we can use Advanced Editor for Import Mode when swapping from one SQL server to another. Currently, Power BI automatically right-aligns all text measures in Matrix visuals, and the alignment settings in the Format pane (under “Values”) do not apply to text-based measures. This creates a poor user experience when displaying multi-line text fields like commentary, notes, or narrative summaries—especially when they are concatenated using DAX.   Request: Please enable full text alignment controls (left, center, right) for text measures used in Matrix visuals, just like those available in Table visuals. Piepline - Manually link items where the ID has changed so that either can push it forward or backwords.  With large multi site user groups amending reports we've seen high level of breaking of the linking of dataflows and semantic model between the pipelines stages.  Currently the only way to fix seems to be to delete the full report from the pipeline and then repush it all. With reports potentially going over 5 workspaces with multiple offshoot or linked dataflow this isnt practical.  If we could manually link similar models / dataflow and then re-push that would solve a lot of issues.  A scenario like the below where the dataflows are exactly the same but they are no longer bound.   ... Good morning,  I would like to make a recommendation on the Power BI VSSC ACCESS TEAM  under the UAT-Consult report.  Is there any possible way to add the buckets the consults are falling under like the consult cube.  EX: open consults, unscheduled no activity GT14\30 Days, Opened GT 30\60\etc Days? To my understanding the Unscheduled no activity GT14 is going away, but I have not heard a date yet. Semantic Link Labs library for Fabric notebooks is becoming increasingly prevalent and beneficial for managing Power BI and Fabric content. However, manually loading the library, even through a custom environment, considerably slows down the Spark session start time (from 3 to 7 minutes in my experience). Related to this question someone else recently posted, I have a similar need/use case: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Data-Pipeline/dynamic-library-variables/m-p/4663725/highlight/true#M7587   I am currently using a config table in a warehouse to run pipelines for things like chained refreshes on dependency, and also automatically creating shortcuts to end-user lakehouses to various gold-layer warehouses, depending on which warehouses they have been approved for access to, which is partially captured in the config table.  Right now, some of the pipeline processing and API steps could be streamlined and simplified by supplying more directly things like workspace/warehouse/lakehouse ids per environment. The variable library seems like it would be a perfect solution, but the way my configuration is set up, I'd need a way to be able to dynamically choose which variable from the library to use, based on which configuration I'm using.  The ability to select a variable from the library dynamically in the pipeline instead of only statically would provide a great deal more flexibility.  ...
