I am not sure why on earth no one has every thought that being able to easily enable or disable a dashboard or report in the powerbi service? It should be as easy is selecting "More options" (click the 3 dots) beside for the applicable report/dashboard and then selecting an Enable/Disable option in the "Settings" area!    There have been many times where I have been working on something and do not want a particular dashboard or report accessible until my changes have been thoroughly tested and published.  Sure there are workarounds but there should not have to be "workarounds" for something seemingly as simple as this.   It would be very nice if this feature was added. With all of the other amazing things that can be done, it makes no sense why soemthing like this cannot be easily added. It would also make sense that when you disable a rep[rot/dashbaord, you could enter a message so that when a users attempts to launch that dashboard/report, they will see the message you entered... Soemthing like "This dashboard is undergoing maintenance at the moment and will be available again after 3pm today. Thankyou for your patience."   How difficult can this be?   Thanks, Brad ... There are workspace item names that are allowed in fabric, but cause issues in GIT. This happens after merging changes between two git branches. A referencing pipeline in the updated workspace cannot he run. The name db-1 results in an error. The name db_2 is allowed. I have two workspaces. ws1 and ws2. Both are connected to git. wis 1 is connected to a git branch named b-dev , ws2 is connected to git branch called b-test. I have a data pipeline called dp1, that is in ws1. This has a copy activity that transfers data from a Sqlserver in azure to one lake sqldb (in ws1 and ws2). This runs without errors in ws1. If I now do a git-pr to merge the git branche b-dev into b-test, with no merge conflicts I expect to be able to run dp1 in ws2. However this gives an error because of invalid references.   Some years ago this was a known issue. Has this been fixed?. Is this currently a supported scenario? Can i use a git PR in combination with fabric, in i only use a _ (underscore) and a-z,  in the name? I rather not use deplomnet pipelines in git as they don't have enough functionality. Should I use fabric deployment pipelines instead of a PR? Or is there another way to get my sql-dababase named db-3 (with hyphen) from ws 1 to ws2 and have valid pipelines afterwoulds ? ... Please add a "Lock Visual" feature in Power BI Desktop that allows users to lock the position and size of charts, tables, cards, images, and other report elements. This would prevent accidental movement or resizing while designing reports — similar to the functionality available in Microsoft Excel. I know you can hide filters for fields used in the grid when exporting data to CSV from the Table visual by clicking the eye icon. But what about hiding a filter on the main data table? I have a source getting files with a folder connection. The users pick the file itself from the filter --along with several other filters involved based on target, range of categories etc. Those others I can hide but not the filter on the filename from the main connection. I have even tried adding the filename filter to the (visual ) table exporting from with the hide turned on and I still get Applied filters: Source.Name is xxxxx_07_30_1100.CSV  Anonymized xxxxxx Could we have the option to suppress the Filter message on the visuals with export to data option? ... I am trying to set up a Fabric sandbox enviroment for Azure.  The Azure system is rejecting my request becuase of using a personal email address?  I have setup a paid subscription to my bank account, as I am trying to further learning.  Microsoft is requesting a school or business account, and I am scratching my head as to why?  I have setup the payment method for the account.  Are they concerned that I will submit run-away processes running up a large bill? This makes no sense to me.  I am hoping someone responsible for this policy will respond (preferrably by phone call). I hope to get a response soon, as I this has halted my training. Thank you! ... I have a stacked column chart that can be cross filtered by multiple other visuals. The cross filtering could result in only one item of the legend to remain. In that case, the "Total" labels are no longer shown. As I don't have the "Data labels" enabled, I don't have any value on the visual.  When "Total labels" is on, these should always be shown, independent of the number if items in the legend. ... Currently there's no way to monitor new Tenant settings except through M365 Admin center or actually going to the Fabric Tenant settings and eyeballing.   There is no way to know from the Tenant settings, when the new ones will come and the old ones will vanish.   There should be a way to generate alerts to Admins and desired stakeholders on tenant setting changes that have come up, as this may change architectural directions, or even impact the customer's landscape, which calls for a re-audit of the tenant settings.   Some Settings vanish too, or get replaced. If M365 Admins and Fabric Admins are segregated, this makes it difficult for Fabric Admins to know what's new.   ... View more

There is currentl a Webv2 connector that allows for a base uri to be set up, and then yu should be able to pass a parmeterized url query string to it. However there is now to "surface" these in DataflowGen2 connection when using Web Page source. This results in needing to create a Web connection and data flow for each potential query combination. In the default setting the color of a column in a table is set to transparant. After changing the color it is impossible to change back to transparent because the setting is not available.
