Hello Power BI team, As a frequent user of Power BI for business reporting, I truly appreciate the convenience of the "Apply All Slicers" button, which helps streamline the filtering process across multiple slicers. However, in real-world scenarios, there are cases where certain slicers should be excluded from this global apply action. For example: A date slicer might need to apply immediately upon selection. A region slicer might be part of a group that requires manual confirmation via the "Apply All" button. To support such use cases, I would like to request a feature that allows selective exclusion of slicers from the "Apply All Slicers" functionality. Suggested Enhancements: Add an option to exclude specific slicers from the "Apply All" action. Allow slicers to be grouped or tagged for selective application. Enable slicers to be set as auto-apply or manual-apply independently. Support this configuration via the UI or through DAX/JSON settings. In Power BI Desktop, numeric fields are automatically set to "Sum" when added to visuals. While this is useful in many cases, it can be frustrating for users who frequently work with data that should not be aggregated. Feature Request:  Please add a global or report-level setting that allows users to set the default summarization behavior for all fields—especially numeric ones—to "Don't Summarize". Why This Matters: Saves time by reducing repetitive manual changes. Prevents accidental misinterpretation of data due to unintended aggregation. Improves usability for users working with detailed or non-aggregated datasets (e.g., IDs, reference numbers, or pre-aggregated values). Aligns with user expectations in scenarios where summarization is not appropriate. Suggested Implementation: A toggle in Options > Report Settings or Data Load to choose the default summarization behavior. It would be helpful to have expanded formatting options for individual columns in Table and Matrix visuals—beyond what’s currently available. I’m proposing the following enhancements to the Specific Column Formatting settings: 1. Bold Text Option Allow users to apply bold styling to individual columns. Use Case: When using data bars inside a column, bold text improves contrast and supports accessibility standards, helping key values remain visible. 2. Font Type and Size Control Enable control over font family and font size at the column level. This would improve readability and further support contrast requirements for accessible design.   In the screenshot below (sample data shown), I used a table visual to surface survey items where bar charts weren’t feasible due to the lack of wrap text on y-axis labels. Hello, This is  our issue:  We are using the Oauth authentication for Google Big Query and due to the refresh token limit of 100 we have informed you to use service account as it has no limit. But considering the security risk and management you have asked for the alternate workaround whether you can use the Microsoft Workload Identity Federation as it is very suitable one for you.  We have checked this internally and currently we don’t have any such feature currently available in Power BI to use the Microsoft Workload Identity Federation using the existing Microsoft Entra ID. In my expereince walking through the maze of licensing options so my small consulting firm can use PowerBI to support its customers, I want the larger capacity I have in the trial because it allows me to do everything I need to do, but it is wildly cost prohibative. It's $5K/mo. We considered the Embeded option at $750/mo and as you know we would have to build out a portal for customers, more cost/expertise my consulting firm would rather avoid. We have huge potential and the customers love this solution in testing, it allows for SharePoint embeding as well as portal creation, both. It allows our enterprise users with FREE PowerBI Frabic to see the resports, these are O365 customers like us!   MS needs to consider lowering the requirement to achieve this value. I get it that this level allows Fabric Free users, noted, but honestly, if you want to dominate the space, lower the entry point. Call it essentails or basic!   Why I looked at AWS QuickSite after my expereince.... After dealing with MSPs with no expereince with the product or its licensing that are certified by MS, none really know the full breadth of the licensing model and cannot advise! They and I often lose it over the segmentation of Azure, Office and Azure again. The answer to the question, our need, was the $5K/mo 64-unit capacity that supports all the requirements.     The Embedded product at ~$750.00/mo was a consideration, but honestly, on trial, after seeing a truely perfect solution, it angers me that there isn't some lower entry point for my use case.    There was a rumor on the boards that someone had a lower.smaller capacity attached that was allowing O365 free fabric PowerBI users to access reports, but this information has not been confirmed outside of that post or in documentation.  ... I see there are threads about this from years ago but it's still not really sorted. My team all need to work on a .pbix file, not necessarily at the same time, but due to home working and not being visible to each other, that has happened on occasion. Why does Microsoft not use the "Somebody is currently working on this file. Open a read-only copy?" in Power BI that they do in Word and Excel? It would save a lot of trouble for us when multiple people are inadvertently working on the file at the same time and one person has to exit without saving and redo their work. ... View more

Why should it be a guessing game as to which DAX queries work in Direct Query mode in Power BI. can you kindly look into the case sensitive & case insensitive issue between desktop & query editor, where query editor can able to recognize the difference between upper & lower case characters/string, however when it comes to desktop it is considered as one single record by default, hence we are loosing the records in such case. kindly look into it please ... It would be really useful if every Visual came with an ID and that in Dax there was a function which could pull current ID of the visual it runs in.    Within the formatting of the visual would be It's ID number automatically generated.  Then there would a function say VisualID() with following format: - VisualID(ID of visual) This could then be used to allow if\switch statements to execute based on visual they are in.  This would allow Measures to be created for example which change the title of a visual, without the need for multiple measures. (Or creating a table just to differentiate between each visual.) The current KPI card doesn't allow for a middle orange value. It's either green if the value is above target and red if it's below target. There doesn't appear to be the option to have a middle ground whereby, if the value is between the highest and lowest target then it can be orange - or some other colour.  This seems very binary and doesn't reflect how our business compares a value against benchmarks where we use RAG indicators a lot.  ...
