Unlike other reporting tools ( Business objects, Tableau),  Power BI reports always open at 100% zoom by default, which can be frustrating since users have different screen sizes for laptops, desktops and mobile and resolutions.  Whenever we open a report on a monitor that doesn’t match the report's exact size, we have to manually adjust the zoom on every page (e.g., "Fit to Page" or "Fit to Width") to get a proper view.   Fit to the size is a great feature that different people accessing the reports wiht different screen size monitors.  Its really annoying as our clients have different experience with other reporting tools like BO and Tableau or even Quik   Please consider adding an option to choose the default zoom mode for a report ("Fit to Page", "Fit to Width", or "Actual Size") and apply it to all pages, since they may have different sizes.   Thank you! ... Hello. I have some notebooks that have differences between workspaces that I'm aware of, where it's by design. For example, I have a notebook creating a table in the attached lakehouse with unique info for each workspace it's residing in. Some values are hardcoded when they are not easily available with system variables, like the current workspace name. Then I'm able to use this table for my process.   But in my deployement pipeline, it will always tell me that my notebook is "Different from source", while I know that, as it's by design, and I would like to flag this item to "Do not deploy" / "Do no check for differences", so that it's not always included in the difference comparison and doesn't alert me for that.   Thanks ... In Power BI, numeric columns defined in Power Query using type number are often still treated as categorical in visuals unless manually adjusted in the model. This behavior breaks reproducibility and makes it impossible to fully version-control a Power BI solution. As a developer, I want to enforce that numeric columns are always treated as aggregatable (i.e., as measures) directly from Power Query (M), without needing to: - Create DAX measures - Manually change summarization settings in the model - Use external tools like Tabular Editor This would allow for consistent, predictable behavior and better integration with version control systems (e.g., Git), especially in enterprise environments where reproducibility and automation are critical. Requested feature: - Enable a way in Power Query (M) to define default summarization behavior (e.g., Sum, Average) for numeric columns. - Prevent Power BI from automatically treating numeric columns as categorical based on heuristics like low cardinality. Created a PBI report from https://microsoft.visualstudio.com and after modifying query and refreshing report or creating new PBI report with same saved query, the correct columns show up in visuals but not when editing query and viewing columns in Power Query Editor.  Found this when initially using Start Date and later modifying query to remove Start Date with Create Date.  Create Date showed in visual but could not see in Edit Query source until I renamed the saved query. ... I want to be able to use a measure to show only a specifc chart, in place, based on a measure, e.g. If SLICER value A is selected, it will show Chart 1, If SLICER value B is selected, it will show Chart 2, etc. This will drastically reduce the number of pages I need to create in my PowerBI reports, as I can have all my charts in on one place. I beg you to seriously consider this, as having 100 pages to show 100 charts is just madness and it is so easy to click Selection ==> Hide Chart in the Selection Pane, so if PowerBI could just do this, even for just one chart at a time, i.e. hide all charts, except chart selected in measure. I wish Power BI had more flexibility on how to build a table. For example, I would like to be able to select  multiple fields from a table visual an delete them with one click. Also, I would like to be able to select multiple fields and move them in a a matrix table visual from Row level to column level or value level. Lastly, ideally given 2 table visuals with 20 fields each, I would like BI to let me combine these fields together in one visual table. This would save a lot of unnecesary repetitive work. The issue I have to sometimes remember to save or publish my Power BI report on the page that I wish for the report to be open to when users open it.  We make changes to reports on a regular basis, almost everyday and many of the report developers forget.    Idea An idea would be to have the capability to set the default page on the right-click menu on each tab either on the Desktop version or the Service version. This then universally sets the opening default page without having to move through the tabs to save the report. It makes it easier so when you have set your default page globally in the report the start page will always be the same regardless of which page you save or publish the report.   ... View more

Currently, Auto Page Refresh works in Power BI Desktop when using DirectQuery on a Dataflow, but it does not work after publishing the report to the Power BI Service – even in Premium workspaces. This limitation makes it difficult to build real-time dashboards using Dataflows, even though they are refreshed frequently (e.g. via Power Automate).
