This means for large datasets, even with a basic filter, it is reading every single row before it returns the results which can be incredibly slow. One common issue I have faced while designing reports is accidentally replacing an existing visual. Here's the situation: - You are focused on building a new visual and click an option from the Visualizations pane. - But, without realizing it, you had already selected an existing small or medium-sized visual on the canvas. - Instead of creating a new visual, the existing one gets replaced, forcing you to undo the change and start over. This can be frustrating, especially when working with dashboards that have multiple compact visuals where it is easy to miss what was selected. Suggestion: - Introduce a highlighted selection indicator (stronger than the current thin border), OR - Provide a simple pop-up warning like: You are about to replace an existing visual - proceed? when switching chart types with a selected visual. Currently drill-thru works only for the reports built on top of the same data model, but in the reality we also are creating multiple star-schema based reports very often we use the same dimension tables (ie. PBI dataflows, Azure SQLs, Azure DataBricks, literally same origin paths and places) connected to different fact tables. Hi Power BI Team and Community, As someone actively working with Power BI and preparing for PL-300, I’ve noticed how much time goes into setting up consistent layouts and visuals—especially for beginners. Just like PowerPoint and Word offer default themes and templates on their home screens, I believe Power BI would benefit from pre-built report templates directly accessible from the Home view. These templates could include: Common dashboard layouts (e.g., Sales Overview, IT Monitoring, Executive Summary) Pre-configured visuals and slicers Sample DAX measures and formatting styles     This would help learners get started faster and reduce design time for professionals. Need an easier way to navigate the "tabs" in power bi desktop.   Once I have hidden pages for my checks while developing, a couple of drill-throughs, etc. it becomes very cumbersome to navigate the tabs at the bottom. greviances below:   1. When you right click and go to a tab the navigator at the bottom doesn't snap to that tab like Excel does. 2. When you navigate using the side to side arrows it will go past the last selected tab, this is annoying when trying to move a tab as you have to go back and forth, drag as far as the can, go side to side again. 3. Right now, even with CI/CD update Dataflow Gen2 doesn't support multi-environment scenarios.   In short, the pipeline commits typeProperties with the Dataflow’s logicalId instead of the dataflowId. Also, workspaceId is set to a placeholder value of "00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000". Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a Dataflow Gen2. 2. In a pipeline, add a Dataflow activity and select the Dataflow created in the previous step. 3. Commit changes to source control. 4. Deploy changes to another workspace. 5. Try to run the pipeline - you’ll get an UnknownException. 6. Manually update workspaceId and dataflowId in pipeline-content.json to the correct values. Now the pipeline works fine. 7. Commit the corrected values to source control. 8. After this commit, Fabric forces another commit, again replacing the dataflowId with logicalId and resetting the workspaceId to the placeholder value. Currently, since measures created in PowerPivot cannot be imported, it requires the extra effort of creating the same measure in both tools, forcing users to choose between using PowerPivot or Power BI. Please make it possible to import tables, including major ones. The editing interface for PowerPivot data models is significantly less user-friendly compared to Power BI. When displaying PowerBi Dashboards in Full Screen Mode, it would be nice to have options to enable/disable or hide the left pane and bottom panes respectively. That way we can utilize the entire canvas.
