Hi Communtiy, Recently i was working on a request where the client wanted to see the last week value of my data. As the power bi refreshes daily there is no direct way to preserve all my key kpi value in the model. Like today is 12/8/2025 now even if i create a table with all the measure and the date value. Tomorrow the date wont be static it will change. So everyday the date value value will keep on changing and historical value wont be preserve. unless we capture it on an excel hosted on sharepoint via power automate. Which eventually i did. So shouldnt there be a way to store these value in the Power bi. I know it may consume spaces but there could be a way to maybe transfer those value onto excel automatically and not manually downloading it. ... View more

Kindly, we need to make a change in the visualization as my manager often prefers to use charts in the same way as slicers. Please can we get the ability to create calculated columns in a Semantic model, that is created in a Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse. When a table isn't available, PowerBI desktop (or whatever interface) should popup and say that the table isn't available and ask if you want to remove it.   I'm using PowerBI desktop to edit a semantic model and when I clicked refresh one of the tables wasn't available in the lakehouse the model was pulling from. I'm having an issue migrating my old Power Pivot One Windows models to the Windows Fabric semantic model.    My original Power pivot connected directly to the One windows server and I was able to create the query easily using the "Table Import Wizard" to pull in all the fields and set up the filters with out having to write DAX statements (which I know very little of).   I tried to the same with the Fabric server and re-create my query in Power Pivot, but I'm getting a user authentication error. My understanding is that Power Pivot is not compatible with the way fabric authenticates and therefore the connection cannot be stablished.   I tried a work around creating a table using the "Import Table" function in the Windows fabric selection which actually works well for me as it has an interface which helps me set the query very easily and creates a table that's connected to the server and which I can import into my Power Pivot model. But then I have another issue with this one too, as once the table is created there is no way to go back to the query set up screen to modify the original filters and or fields .   Is there a way in which I can go back to the table/query set up screen and modify the setting of the query thru there?   thanks!       Fabric Table creator     Power Pivot connection error   ... When exporting data from a table, columns of type date/time export as a value as expected but Excel does not display the value by default. A simple format cells can fix the issue but I believe the "General" format does not pick up the date/time correctly to format and display it. When querying notebook runs via https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/fabric/core/job-scheduler/get-item-job-instance?tabs=HTTP) it always returns the failure message "Job instance failed without detail error" for failed notebook runs without further details.   When I triggered a notebook run via https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/fabric/core/job-scheduler/run-on-demand-item-job?tabs=HTTP and checked the status of this notebook run near real-time, I noticed that shortly after the failure the exception was included in the response, but it disappears after 5 to 10 seconds (see below screenshot).   Always returning the exception details for a failed notebook run, would help understanding why the notebook run failed without the need to jump into the notebook run history and check in the item snapshots what happened.   @felicitynyanfyi ...
