As asked in http://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Report-Server/How-to-force-report-server-to-load-local-embedded-custom-visual/m-p/4909877 there needs to be an option or a workaround to allow skipping checking updates of custom visuals in reports. The usecase scenarios for this are either simply because the server has no access to pbivisuals.powerbi.com so it's useless to even try to reach it, because it is a locally developed custom visual so there's nothing to compare against, or because PBIRS simply can't compare/check if the version is latest for a variety of other reasons. Forcing clients using PBIRS in enterprise environments to wait upwards of 20 seconds just for a obvious timeout when the report is predictably perfectly functional is absurd. PBI amazing advantage of snappy data loading and visualization (both in DirectQuery and Stored Data), turns to dust when you're forced to wait for a timeout that's not even related to data loading. Description Currently, Power BI Pie and Donut charts do not allow overriding display units using a new measure column. These visuals automatically control data label units and do not consistently respect custom DAX format strings. As a result, display units cannot be aligned with other visuals such as Bar or Column charts. For example, Bar charts may show values in Millions, while Pie or Donut charts show Billions or raw values, causing inconsistency and confusion. When I work with the Power BI Service I find it really annoying that the deplowment pipeline and also dataset has no HTML title.  Du to this in my Chrome browser I see only "Power BI" in my tabs (see screenshot):  It would be great to set here a specific title like "... A liquidity report for the SDF AM portfolio would be useful.  The data can be sourced from Artemis via the add-in and could take the current RCF availability (% LBG undrawn (source:  Artemis) x Total RCF Limit (source: Aethon)) and the current Cash (source: Aethon), and compare this to the LTM EBITDA (source: Aethon).  This could be circulated alongside the SDF AM Comparison Report and be very helpful for more in-depth risk management of the portfolio.  Currently, it is possible to calculate this manually, however the source for much of this data is 3m old (being the Full Tabular Report) or requires manual gathering (individual Aethon deals/facilities). ... Within Microsoft, an increasing number of Power BI reports contain highly sensitive information. While Security Groups and Access Policies effectively control who can access these reports, there is currently no mechanism to control how they are accessed.   Introducing a VPN requirement would add an important layer of protection by ensuring that only trusted, compliant devices within the Microsoft network can view sensitive content. This would reduce the risk of exposure from unmanaged or external networks and help maintain a secure data environment.   I recommend adding VPN‑based access controls to https://msit.powerbi.com/ so that sensitive reports can only be viewed through authenticated Microsoft network connections. ... This is an idea for a future Power BI enhancement.  When creating a line chart with small multiples, the x-axis is placed on the bottom of the entire graphic. It would be useful to have the option to carry the x-axis up to the first row (or all rows) of the chart.  See the included screen shot - the x-axis, with values incremented at 20s, is at the bottom of the chart and it would be nice to have the optin to have the axis placed below the first row of charts.   ... When exporting your PowerBI report to PDF or Powerpoint, not all images will come true. There is no support for Arcgis maps or images that have a link to underling Excel files. So in your export it will show as a grey square. When downloading only one page, the images will download as shown in the report. We would like a function where the export just uses the images as shown in the report. Or find a solution to support Arcgis maps or other images linked to the PowerBI report.  ... View more

Instead of using parameters, allow users to change the values and measures of a visual by choosing from a list of predefined list of items.    Example 1: Imagine I have a bar chart with total sales as the measure.  I need to use a parameter to change it to a per capita measure.  Allow users to change this inside the visual by clicking on the label.  This could also allow distinct formatting for each measure, like allowing decimals on per capita's and whole numbers on dollars in the data labels. Example 2:  Imagine I have a stacked column chart showing patient's appointments with the date on the x-axis and the appointment type (initial visit, follow up visit, nurse visit, exam, etc) in the legend.  Allow users to change the field in the legend to an appointment status (patients seen, cancelled, rescheduled, etc).  Allow users to change the date in the x-axis to the office the appointment occured at. ... We are unable to use this feature in Microsoft Fabric because the data is not processed or stored in the India region. As per government regulations, we are required to use only the India region for data storage and processing. However, this particular feature currently requires using either the US or EU region.
