In Power BI Desktop, you cannot minimize the window while a report is being published. This is because a task modal box prevents you from interacting with PBI Desktop. It seems like you should be able to minimize PBI Desktop while a report is being published.

If you have a longitude in the longitude box and latitude in latitude box, would it not make sense to use them as...coordinates e.g. for a point in which there would be data, say a metric on something? Why would Power BI start COUNTING THEM...oh wait, it does just that!

I would like to be able to give managers the ability to pin visuals to a custom dashboard for themselves without giving them access to the data set. The data set has confidential information over and above the data they see in the report.

I would like the opportunity to say that if a bridge visulization meets a target that you can get it to change colour and if it fully completes allow it to change colour as well. This will allow for easier visulization of data. Thanks

Several databases are managed by roles which allow access or not to the tables. I have not been able to run the following DDL statement: SET ROLE sampleRole; If I don't run this statement before the query I don't have access to the tables.

Especially when i have multiple versions of a source desktop file, it would be nice to be able to know for certain from which file the current dashboard was published from.

In displaying a report i want my users to be able to slice on, it would save room and clean up the face of my report if users could simply drop down the available slicer field options to choose from vs. squeezing in multiple slicer boxes, where all they might see on the surface is a search box, select all, etc.

After I delete an table on the right hand-side of the report, it should be able to create another with the old name. Currently, I cannot.

a mistake or data problem can result in a graph or chart failure at runtime. today the error message raised by "R" is not propagated to the PowerBI error dialog - but if it was it would save significant trouble shooting work.

Can you please change the OLEDB provider to allow for connections that do not need a username and password. We use the WinCCOLEDB provider from Siemens and this provider uses anonymous credentials. However, the new OLE DB option forces you to enter a username and password.

Would be useful if you where in relationship mode that you could right click the table then click edit which then opens up the query.

It would be great if Power BI could add an ability for a user to go to the dashboard/report of the content pack the user added. Currently when a user adds a content pack, Power BI takes the user to the default page of the user. When a user has hundreds of dashboard/report, the user has to figure out which dashboard/report the user just added.

In the past the dashboard on iOS app would be in full screen mode. Now it has a header and footer on it which blocks significant part of the view. One implementation could be that the bars/headers simply disappear after a user touches the dashboard.

Seems like the current limitation of number of events that can be loaded from a data source is 100,000. That does not allow us to do slice and dice on many variables for a big time window. It would be nice to make that setting configurable to set a custom limit of events that can be loaded at a time. Another option would be is a setting that always shows data for X number of hours (i.e. NOW minus X hours), regardless how many events need to be loaded.
