The ability to parameterize the connection would enable using separate identities (e.g. separate service principals) for dev/test/prod environments.    Having to use the same SPN in dev/test/prod introduces unnecessary risks, like accidental data modification across environments - a dev workload accidentally writing to production data, or a production workload accidentally connecting to and using data from the dev environment.   This would be solved if we could use variable library to reference the corresponding connection id for dev/test/prod service principal.   This way, we would not need to give the prod SPN access to dev and test environments. ... Problem Statement: When adding a Smart Narrative using Copilot (AI) every time there is a change on the report such filters, etc. There is a button on the Narrative to refresh the content (I assume is the instruction for Copilot to re-generate the content based on the new filter criteria) and our end users are just ignoring the content because of this extra action.   Desired Experience: Smart Narrative will launch automatically on ANY change on the report (selection, filters, slicers, etc) and we don't need any other action to get the information. ... Current Experience: When a dataset refresh is initiated in Microsoft Fabric, the “Refresh” button remains static. To cancel an ongoing refresh, users must: Open the Monitor tab. Navigate to the dataset’s page. Locate and click the “Cancel Refresh” button. This process requires multiple clicks and context switches, which disrupts workflow efficiency. Proposed Improvement: Feature Change: Replace the “Refresh” button with a “Cancel Refresh” action when a refresh is already running. Proposed Behavior: When a dataset refresh is active: The “Refresh” icon or label dynamically changes to “Cancel Refresh” (or an “X” icon overlay). Hover tooltip: “Cancel current refresh”. On click: A confirmation dialog appears: “A refresh is currently running. Are you sure you want to cancel it?” Confirm → Cancels the refresh job. Dismiss → Keeps the refresh running. However, if we have a square-design logo and upload, we are forced into a circle.  Not fair and annoying.   There should be an option to allow a square Workspace logo.   My preference would be that the default is to use a square but I'm sure the visual designers have their reasons for prefering a round logo--except for when MS generates a logo for the Workspace. ... Some simple scorecard improvements I would like to see to add visual impact and enable better standardisation.   1. To have more colours available. The current choice of colours is pretty weak ... the pastel hues are a bit bland. I would preper to be able to have stronger colours for more visual impact when using scorecard as a KPI or metrics board. Red, Green Amber would be obvious choices ... but also strong blues and other colours too. I want to be able to see when something is off target or on target.   2. To be able to create scoreboard templates. I have a few variaiant ideas here .... to be able to create a template of metrics on the whole ... so i can determine what each dept is using and measuring ... so this for me would be sections on Safety, Quality, Performance etc and then as sub metrics again specific for our site. The point here is to be able to create a standard board and to share it as a template across the business. Also a selectable template of precreated statuses (On target, Behind etc) ... i would like to be able to create my own status banks with predetermined wording and colour. I have been taking a look at the new Fabric Graph feature. Please can you add support to load data to the Graph from a Lakehouse View as well as tables (e.g. TSQL Views). There are many reasons why people may wish to adjust, filter or otherwise manipulate data from actual Lakehouse table to make it relevant to Graph (e.g. only providing current rows from an SCD dimension), but at present I need to add an extra step via Pipelines, Data Flow or Notebook to adjust the data to a new Lakehouse table first. The new Copy Job in Fabric is great. It lets you configure DELTA loads if you can specify the "Incremental column" for a table. BUT, the only data types it will accept are INT (and I assume BIG | SMALL, etc) and Date/Time.    What about ROWVERSION? In my opinion, this is the ABSOLUTE BEST data type for tracking incremental changes. Consider this: Any other type must be managed by the programming layer, either the application or a trigger. And, what happens if some other process breaks in and UPDATES those columns between runs? You will be in an inconsistent state.  ROWVERSION data type columns are, by definition: A) Managed by SQL (populated and updated automatically), B) immutable (they cannot be changed via an UPDATE statement like other columns.   Please add support for selecting ROWVERSION type columns (from SQL Server) to the CopyJob activity. ...
