Currently everytime we open a report with custom visual, the visual frame contains an error and warning on the top. It doesn't look nice to the end users with an error at display. Understand the reason of having warning on the top. What about no more warning after being accepted once until a change is made to the custom vistual?

We have built a fantastic database using Microsoft Access and hoped to begin using Power BI along with it. What a HUGE disappointment to discover that Microsoft Access is not a data source option. We hope it will be in the near future. Salesforce and Hoopla are hot on our heels! Our employees prefer Access.

connect power bi with unstructured or structured data like big eCommerce companies generate every month billions of records and during the whole process millions of null and repeatitve data values are there and bi developer analysis of data and many hour giving to this process . so if power bi connect all 12 months or many years of saperate datasets without the data cleaning process or any data analysis .companies save alot or time plus make decision more faste or accurate or fast data visulization.

It would be nice to be able to track code analysis issues produced during the build. I'd want to be able to group by different categories to see if we are getting better over time. Bonus: Determine what CA rules are actually enabled by inspecting the project files in the source code.

It would be better if the Slicer Filter had the property so you click to replace a variable (rather than to include another variable). Then you could use ctrl to add and shift to select a range.

When viewing your workbook settings, it would be very handy to see the filename and OneDrive filepath of each datasource.

Migration of existing Excel workbooks that refresh successfully in old Power BI does not work as advertised. I have several reports with Project Online OData plus on-prem data sources that have successfully refreshed for months. New Power BI would not recognize the OData sources because they were not Power Query. This has caused me a lot of extra work.

pinning filtered reports to dashboards makes it difficult to know what the filter once was on the dashboard. You must manually add it in the description after pinning. I want my dashboard to show all items that have been "Accepted" and when I click the report it should show me the default view for the report (all items pending in my case). Dashboard and Report default views are NOT the same...Dashboard is a quick summary and the Report is my drill down.

The import data view is not logical. The import side starts with "connect to the data..." and the connect side starts with "bring your excel wb into..."

We can now share files in O365 many different ways. Using a file from an O365 Group or from Yammer--and optionally embedding a PowerBi report in the group or Yammer feed--would be interesting.

Better compatibility with IOS. Unable to see or use slicers on ipad or phone. You can see the dashboard, but unable to manipulate the visual with slicers.

I've just completed some entries for your Visualization contest. It was a time consuming and laborious effort. I think that not too many developers will want to contribute future visuals, features and bug requests without sufficient motivation. If you really want to encourage developers to write visualizations for Power BI, you should setup some kind of "Visualizations App Store" infrastructure where a customer or consultant can buy a license for the visualization in a variety of per seat / per year options and the revenue can be split between Microsoft and the developer. Microsoft could also have an all-you-can-eat model similar to Netflix and Amazon Unlimited, whereby the customer pays a fixed fee for a set of Visualizations and the developer gets a tiny percentage based on usage and inclusion in the customer's dashboard reports. If this was setup, I would probably happily make a lot of visualizations and maybe make quite a bit of money. Thanks for listening. Power BI is a pretty cool platform.
