The gateway connection used to work when the Sharepoint was not yet running in Office 365. I have already recreated the gateway to no avail. I tried a direct login to the Sharepoint to ensure that the account I'm using is valid and I was able to login.

Hi guys, Every time I refresh my dataset I lose all values in my months slicer/filter. I need to re-publish my report into the BI platform but once again, if I refresh it, it only shows a select all and a blank field. The Other slices do not seem to be affected (year and day of month)

I created a table appending two other table and after i duplicated this table 10 times, filtering differently. when i add a relation on the origin table, the relation also appears automatically in the 10 duplicate tables? Thks Chiara

I can connect to SAP Business Warehouse Server but even Power BI language is English, it connects to BW in Italian. could you help me changing the the logon language to EN? I also tried to set locale as English, but once I re-open Power BI it turn back to Italian. thanks in advance.

Currently the Custom Visualizations are sandboxed. If we develop more that two, it is not possible for the two visualizations to be aware of each other. We need an API to pass and get values from a Sandboxed Custom Visualization.

in the current Embedded Apps there is not way to pass any filter(page,Report,future:Dashboard) fulters to the custom visualization. In order to the custom visualizations to be as functional as the default ones, we need to 'level the playing ground' 🙂 and be able to pass/get any filter from the the 'environment'.

When I import data from an Excel spreadsheet with a column containing both numbers and text (i.e. an ID column where some IDs have letters), the numeric IDs get displayed in scientific notation. This is a major problem as people need to be able to read these IDs.

the values of details and legend is displaying same in the hover for the pie chart. the correct values are not getting displayed.

My PBI file was working fine and now I can't even get it to load. The second I go into query editor it hangs. I have published and execs love it. . . now what?? They are expecting updated data on Monday!!!

We used the Google Analytics connector in PowerBI Desktop. The GA query is complex inc merge & append GA data as also transformations. In PowerBI desktop is refreshing without issues. When we publish to Service it won't refresh giving the below error. This is happening for other files with GA connector used in PowerBI desktop and publish to service. My GA account has more than one site permission. From the community this seems to be a known issue. What causes the credentials to fail? Does it has to do with complexity of query, account etc? Is there any limitations with GA connector? Any ways to fix it or workaround it so we ccan refresh the dataset

Power BI Service Error: Couldn't load Schema from Datamodel Below are point verified 1) Enterprise gateway is working. 2) Desktop is connecting to same source and working fine 3) Service is connecting to SSAS Tabular cube 4) Manage gateway is also showing successful connectivity. 5) Enterprise gateway machine has internet access through proxy. This is a problem with this forum-software: When posting code to share sometimes the copied code will not run because there are non-printable characters included that destroy the logic. The code in the HTML-editor works (also when edited again), but when the readers copy it, it will contain these invisible characters. (like here: http://community.powerbi.com/t5/forums/editpage/board-id/power-bi-designer/message-id/17755 the invisible character is between "Product" and "ID")

If yes, how can we restrict and only allow authenticated users to view the data? 2. What is Power BI gateway used for? Does it help in securing the data?
