Currently, there's no sorting mechanism for the reports in PowerBI.com. We need a mechanism to sort categories by their associated measure values.

We need a mechanism that enables an organization to customize the out-of-the-box reports/dashboards that come with the out-of-the-box connector to distribute to their organization/division users. For example, we want to customize the charts & dashboard that come with the Dynamics CRM connector to match the customizations we have in our CRM instance.

Milepost is a data warehouse for k-12 school districts and would be a great data source to be able to create reports and dashboards from.

When you add "where field is this or that", the field is automatically displayed in the chart/table, even if I don't explicit ask to "show". for example, show total dollarfield where category is something, it will automatically split the total by that category. I'm just interested in seeing the total dollars, period. In general, I don't want to see my "where" field displayed unless I ask for it (or at least a way to turn off).

When you create a report, eg connect to Excel with Power View you get a link to the report (tile) on the dashboard. If you delete that report tile or want that report tile on another dashboard there is no way I can see to recreate it.

I choose a subset of columns in the Query area, but all columns show in the Report area; I am expecting them to be same as in PowerPivot. I am so impressed with what you are doing with this - you are going to set the competition on their heels.

I accidentally clicked on the "Retail Analysis Sample" dashboard (out of the box sample dashboard) and then clicked in my newly uploaded dataset and started building charts and then clicked Save. I immediately clicked on the page title "Microsoft Power BI Public Preview" while I barely saw a warning toast that said "Warning: This dashboard is read only, your changes will not be saved." and since I had already clicked the title the page navigated to the landing page and my work was lost. Repro 1. Have a dataset ready to use. 2. Click on the out of the box dashboard "Retail Analysis Sample". 3. Click on your dataset; the Report Editor opens. 4. Click any field so a chart is inserted in the canvas. 5. Click the Save menu button; a panel opens. 6. Enter the name of the report "abcdefg" and click the Save button. 7. The asterisk/star symbol besides the "File" menu button disappears. This means that Power BI considers the report saved and will not warn you if you try to navigate out of the editor. 8. At this point your report is not saved NO WARNING SHOWS when you navigate away from the Report Editor; effectively your work is lost at this point. Bonus bug: The warning notification toast "Warning: This dashboard is read only, your changes will not be saved." shows only the first time. If you try steps 2 thru 7 again it will not show. To make the toast show again you need to close the browser and try these "repro" steps again.

Typically in a dataset I will want to pin a few totals, averages or so on based on a particular category (these are KPI type metrics that would show a single number on a pinned item, not a chart), For instance if I am looking at 2 major regions I would like to be able to pin a Q&A question like "total revenue for the region west" along with "total revenue for the region east" both to my dashboard. If you do this now they both have the same name of "Total of Revenue", which is very confusing, since they are not the same number. If you would be able to pin those numbers and change the label on the pinned measure it would have a much better outcome and you would be able to break down measure by categories.
