To be able to control Dataflow creation access to limited users , can you please extend dataflow setting allowing to limit it to security groups instead of entire organization ?

- sami_tanhuanpaaNew MemberThis is very important. It should be possible separately grant access for groups of users to use data flows. Especially in the first phase it should be possible to test the functionality like this with small number of users instead of just granting the possibility to everyone.
- joel_clark1New MemberYes! This is really important for administrating Power BI data flows in an enterprise environment. We are using data flows to democratise access to data and great end-user tools like Power BI because using dataflows means we can open up safe governed datasets from the data warehouse. However if we can't control the ability to produce data flows to key groups we will end back up with data chaos again. Please put some controls in the admin portal, or find another way to do this
- ganesh_krishnamNew MemberConsider working on this idea, data governance is an important requirement for us to safely allow monitored use of Power BI Data Flow in our premium instance. We like to use Power BI Data Flow because of any lack of limitations we have disabled it entirely.

Its quite astonishing that after a couple of years with dataflows available, Microsoft still haven't enabled security permissions across them. As wonderful as they are for loading data once and sharing across models , we are being forced to stop using them because we can't secure the sensitive data they may contain. If reports and datasets can be secured, why not dataflows?
