this is absolutely absurd that this restriction is still in place when this was put to vote a little over 2 years ago. many small businesses operate without their own custom domain email addresses. i operate using outlook, yet you still don't accept that as a valid address even though it is microsoft based. why would you ever even consider putting this product out of reach of small developers and individuals? what is the point? expanding use of your product line should be a main focus of your development team to ensure longevity of the technology and create a greater dependency between developers and the microsoft platform. all you are doing is pissing off the people you should be trying to help.

I use my own domain for my Microsoft account and it's good enough for everything else I access from Microsoft; it's hard to see why such a restriction exists as it really limits the amount of people who could make use of and hopefully evangelise the technology.

2 years, 3000+ votes, one of the top 15 ideas! Still not enough for Microsoft to act upon 😞

Yes, this is a visualisation tool, corporations are about 10 years behind individuals

How many up votes does it take to get action on a proposal that is over 2 years old? I keep trying to use Power BI but Microsoft keeps pushing me back to Tableau. If it isn't that I can't use a personal email account to sign in, it's that I can't open a 64bit Power BI desktop without being told I need to use the 32 bit version - which of course is incompatible with my 64bit Excel application... C'mon MS! I've been working with Office since Excel 5 on about 30 floppy disks and I feel like you just don't want me around. So, once again - back to Tableau. Sheesh!

My employer is very slow to take up this type of technology - there is no chance of working on this type of thing at work. Our systems are locked down and I just about need permission to write an excel macro! However I need to be able to develop prototype solutions and promote the technology. I do so in my own time, with my own money and with my own equipment. Therefore, it is not appropriate to register with a corporate email address. By the way, we use restricted Tableau.

Is this product free? If yes why a corporate log in. This alone tells me it's free for corporations only.
