calculated column support in direct lake

Please provide calculated column support in direct lake power bi reports. This feature is very much required to migrate Power BI import mode models to Direct lake models as well as migrating reports from any other BI to Fabric.

This is a huge hurdle for us. We can only create a Measure in a Direct Lake semantic model. We can't create calculated columns, calculated tables. This is a huge draw back for us as a different team has to manage the Datamart in Fabric. It also stops our customers from being able to create their own calculated columns for self-service. It feels like a massive step back only to get some performance enhancements from Direct Lake.

This is such a big issue that is causing us a great deal of problems. The whole idea of using DirectLake was to improve performance. However, it comes with such a big draw back where you loose fundamental functionality. Calculated Columns/Tables are a core functionality we use on a regular basis. Our customers also use it do to self-service reporting. Now this has to be done in the Fabric Lakehouse so the engineering team has to build in the calculated columns. We have lost a lot of control that we previously had.
