Zoom Icon map visual cross filters other visuals

I am using Icon map to show diseases in cattle herds in Denmark. My users expect that when zooming on the map, the list of herds in a table is cross filtered. I know that they should be using the lasso effect for this, but the natual expected behavior is zooming. just like a webpage e.g. hotels.com.
