DBA's could utilize PBI more so if it allowed access to the system databases, I have stored a lot of monitoring data in the MSDB and cannot get to it unless I make views in a "user" database, not very useful.

- jpoudouNew Memberwell... as you certainly know, changing system databases is not recommended. but its done, so you have to live with it and power bi too to access your content, you can create an empty database and create views pointing to the tables stored in the msdb database.
- rick_fosterNew MemberFound a work around, use OLEDB and build a connection string, not as cool as point and click. While on that, why not allow search for on premise SQL Servers?
