When will the KPI Red/Yellow/Green Indicators be available on PowerBI Desktop?

KPI Red/Yellow/Green Indicators were available in Power Pivot. With the new Power BI Desktop this feature is not available anymore. If you import from PP to the Desktop it converts the RYG Indicator Dots to a number. Will the Red/Yellow/Green Indicators be added back to PowerBI Desktop? If so When?

This would be great! It's basically about using the data's metadata to format them in your reports. Please see an example here: http://www.thebiccountant.com/2016/07/21/easy-profit-loss-account-scheme-reports-power-bi-power-pivot-dax/ and don't forget to vote!

I like it! Better conditional formatting tools, better communication through reports!

Sharon.Laivand (Admin, Microsoft Power BI): look at all of the feedback based on the "completed" date of May 26. Doesn't Microsoft get it?! Colors are visual indicators. We are not asking for something that has not yet been developed. We are asking for the same KPIs that Power Pivot has the capability of showing with any dataset. YES I am very well aware that I can publish from Excel, but a lot of the data shaping I do is from Power Query within Power BI. I shouldn't have to extract the data back down to Excel to get these KPI indicators, right? So you ask, why don't you begin with Excel and use Power Query there... simple answer: IT is not satisfied that the 64 bit version of Excel is secure - so I am stuck with 32 bit. Power BI 64 bit can handle the dataset whereas the 32 bit version of Microsoft cannot. Please put this as incomplete as the number of votes will certainly grow!!

I didnt know this wasnt in there and im surprised. Please add. Like someone said earlier in this thread: I think that Microsoft must spend more time on these basic, fundamentals of reporting / dashboarding. I worry that too often they spend more time chasing cool, "glitzy" functionality, at the expense of the core functionality that other products have.

THis is a huge request from customers. We have made a little bit of progress on KPIs but enterprise customers' needs are not being met with current KPI capabilities. An interactive tool like PBI should be an industry leader in KPIs not a laggard

The August release allows for custom color selections for Bad Neutral and Good; however, it does not allow user to customize what those colors represent. We need to define a percentage (ex. 10% above or below target) so that the red and yellows are telling a story that we can recognize. As of now, we have no idea of the threshold you have defined.
