Warning for Report Overwrite Block When Republishing from Portal
Hello,
Following a recent experience related to report publishing, I would like to propose a new feature for Power BI.
Problem: Currently, if a tenant administrator sets a flag to block report overwrites, users who try to republish a report through the Power BI portal receive no warning or notification that their update was unsuccessful. This can cause confusion, as users may believe the report has been updated when it has not.
Proposed Solution: I suggest adding a visible warning or message to notify the user when a report cannot be updated due to the overwrite block. This feedback would appear directly in the portal when attempting to republish, helping users understand immediately that the update did not occur.
Thank you for considering this idea to enhance the user experience.
Best regards,
Marco
