Vertical lines in Line Charts for Events

I know there's a hacky roundabout way of achieving this using the line and clustered bar chart, but the functionality to add vertical lines to show events really should be a native feature of the line chart. As data storytellers, this feature would enable us to provide important context for our stakeholders/end users.
