Unable to create Live SSAS Tabular connection from Power BI file that has existing DirectQuery to SQL Database

When trying to create a new connection to an SSAS Tabular data source from a Power BI file that has an existing DirectQuery connection to SQL Database, the "Connect live" option is not available.
