URL Format

Hi, it should be possible to mark a column in a Data Flow Gen2 as URL format. Or you should at least have the possibility to mark a text-value in a table as URL format in a report. If you don't work with the desktop version I can't make URL columns clickable.

The idea seems to be more geared towards an experience inside of Power BI or Semantic models instead of Dataflow Gen2.

Dataflow Gen2 doesn't have a report canvas or the notion of. The information displayed in Dataflow Gen2 is not clickable and the Data Preview only shows a small preview of the data in a text format. There are hyperlinks inside of the Dataflow Gen2 experience, but this experience helps the user traverse or navigate through nested values that may exist within the value being accessed.

If this question is specific to Power BI and semantic models, I'd encourage you to post the question again aand the label of "Power BI" to it so it can be reviewed by the Power BI team.

When Dataflow Gen2 loads the data to a destination, such as a Lakehouse, it does that following their own data type logic. All formats at the destination are set by the destination itself, so any formatting of values shown in the semantic model (and the reports that consume it) can only be done at the semantic model itself
