Timeline Slicer (For date, month, quarter, year)

Ability to have date/month/quarter/year slicer automatically created from date field (just like what Excel does with Timeline slicer) would be really good.

When drilling down to dates, I have witnessed that the filters are released automatically when drilling. For instance, if I make a bar chart of years and drill down into months, the filter of the years get released. The dashboard then displays the details of the months for all years, and not for that particular year from which it was drilled down. I think this is a very important feature that needs to be looked at.

'+1 to Matt's comment ... Timeline navigator view from Datazen needs to be incorporated into PowerBI !

The timeline slicer is definitely an extremely helpful addition. It would be great to use the timeline slicer based on SSAS Tabular Date dimensions. Currently, the information somehow gets lost and date dimensions are taken as "flat" dimensions.

Amen to previous comment. Date dimension is critical - get the Datazen and Power BI teams in a room together!

Would be good, but also really need a way to navigate the date field (i.e., move up / down dates, June showing, move using arrows to May or July)
