- nishalitNew MemberAs of June 2017, The Power BI service and Power BI Embedded came together to offer a single API for embedding your dashboards and reports. This means you now have one API surface, a consistent set of capabilities and access to the latest Power BI features – such as dashboards, gateways and app workspaces – when embedding your content. You can read more about it here- https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-developer-embedding/ For those who work with the Power BI Embedded Workspace Collection solution, we built a migration tool for easier data transition. See more info here- https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-developer-migrate-tool/
- jonolukMicrosoft EmployeeHi there. I'm sorry to hear that we missed out on an opportunity because we don't support this yet. This is absolutely on our roadmap and we're working as hard as we can to light up the highest priority features for our backlog. We'll get back once we have a firm update on what we're planning for when. Thanks, jono
- pritesho1New MemberMS lost a big customer missing this functionality. We definitely need this on roadmap.
- EdgarSanchezNew MemberWe have a big opportunity for using PBI Embedded with a customer but they won't upload their data to Azure or any other cloud. So having PBI Embedded connect and present data from an on-premises database (SQL Server or Analysis Services will do just fine) is a deal breaker. Do you have any planned dates for such a feature? (even rough estimates will help)
- yarmolenkaNew MemberA MUST feature for data stored on-premises (which cannot be moved to cloud due to the size, confidential, current infrastructure restrictions)! Please consider to add this feature into your roadmap.
- gulrogNew MemberAny information about when this will be available?
- remone_giorgiNew MemberEchoing most comments here, this is must have for us otherwise we wouldn't be able to implement it for our customers' data. Can't stress enough how crucial this is otherwise we have no choice but to explore other alternatives
- angus_g_jordanNew MemberIs there any possibility of adding a scheduled data refresh for Import for Embedded Power Bi?
- shay_cullenRegular VisitorHi, Do we have a release date for Power BI Embedded supporting On-Premise data refresh? The last I heard this was to be released "Fall 2016".
- Vincent_KokRegular VisitorGood to see this is "STARTED" any information on the timeline?
