Currently, Power BI allows users to apply custom fonts in Power BI Desktop using themes, but these fonts do not render correctly once published to Power BI Service. Instead, unsupported fonts default to a fallback option, which affects branding, consistency, and visual design.
I would like to request the ability to embed or package custom fonts within a Power BI report, ensuring they display correctly in both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
✅ Brand Consistency: Many organizations have strict branding guidelines that require specific fonts, such as Poppins, Roboto, or custom corporate fonts.
✅ User Experience: Reports should display consistently across all platforms without relying on users installing fonts locally.
✅ Competitive Advantage: Other BI tools offer custom font embedding, making Power BI less flexible for design-driven reports.
1️⃣ Allow Custom Font Uploads within Power BI themes.
2️⃣ Enable Web Fonts like Google Fonts to be referenced in reports.
3️⃣ Embed Fonts in the Power BI file itself to ensure proper rendering.
If you also want custom font support in Power BI, please vote for this idea and share your thoughts! 🙌
