Currently, the native Power BI ClickHouse connector does not support entering custom SQL or native database queries via Advanced Options, unlike other database connectors (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
This limitation prevents users from using complex queries, joins, or business logic directly and forces workarounds such as creating views in ClickHouse or switching to the generic ODBC connector.
We request enhancement of the native ClickHouse connector to support native/custom SQL queries in Power Query, similar to other supported database connectors, while maintaining DirectQuery and query folding where applicable.
