Adding support for JDBC data sources would allow for integration with databases other than SQL Server.

Please consider an Intersystems Connector, or JDBC support. Many of the worlds leading Health Information Systems run on Intersystems Data Stores, the lack of this support in PBI is very limiting. You may be unintentionally excluding an entire industry, and I know Microsoft wants to be involved in Health Infomatics...

You're not keeping anyone from using JDBC, or succeeding in locking people into ODBC. You're just making people use ODBC-JDBC bridges and develop hardcore grudges against MS for fighting JDBC in their entire stack of products.

A JDBC connector would really help. Can't get the standard Oracle connector to work on my computer.

Connecting to Graph Databases would be so much easier with a JDBC Driver. Neo4j connections would be a snap.
