'@Philip Connecting to BigQuery via ODBC is just a matter of downloading and configuring the ODBC driver. Since around 2 months the driver is available for download directly from Google website: https://cloud.google.com/bigquery/partners/simba-drivers/ Configuration is fairly straightforward. Once you do this, you can simply select the ODBC as data source in Power BI and write the SQL query to get the data (same as you'd do in the web interface). The only problem I am finding with this solution is that the data is loading extremely slowly (queries take more than 10x longer to execute compared to web interface).
