Sorting on a Slicer

Allow you to sort slicers alphabetically ascending or descending - currently their are no sorting options. Also, sorting based on another field in the same table would be really handy.

Very important when have for example a Product slicer for sales rep and the Company has 1000+ Products... Being able to sort by sold value would level up the dashboard immensely

Thanks for the Update. This is great news, hopefully there are many more updates in September because I am just about to start rolling out and I am missing many required features.

It would be better to make sorting based on expressions.

How can I sort a slicer that is based on the month name (January, February, March..). Its sorting Alphabetically which is not what we want. We have a second column (MonthInteger) which we really want to sort on but I can't figure out how to do this with a slicer. Is this possible?

It seems the sorting can't be save as a default for the object. Am I wrong about this?

'@Will Thompson, but sorting based on another field was not added right? I would like to sort on Total sales for example. And can't we have sort options on other visualisations aswell?

sorting based on another field in the same table would be really, really handy. An example is a list of the month names. I don't want to sort on the names, I want to sort on the chronological number of the month in the year.

As many people mentioned here, we need to be able to sort on another field, like month number, not just alphabetical sorting on the field in the view

Sorting based on another field is not implemented. I need this to make bond credit ratings sort properly. The proper sort order should be: AAA, AA, A, BBB, BB, B, CCC, CC, C. But if I just use an alphabetic sort I get: A, AA, AAA, B, BB, BBB, C, CC, CCC. So I've got an additional field in my BondRating table called 'RatingOrder'. But currently I can't use that to sort my slicer choices.
