A search box is great, but takes up screen real estate. It would also be very slick if I were able to click on a slicer and start typing and if, as I typed, I was moved to the items beginning with the characters I typed. So, for example, today I was looking at a Power BI report containing a slicer with thousands of options (department names). Finding the one department I wanted was hard. I kept having to scroll down and let Power BI load more department names into the slicer, then scroll some more. I happened to know that the deparment I wanted began with the letters "ITS," and it would have been great to be able to type those letters in and get transported to the first item in the list beginning with ITS.

There are other registered ideas that are almost the same as this one. This uncontrolled idea submitting option is not efficient. I think this is a really important feature but because of the inefficient registration does not get the votes it deserves (now its fragmented).

Everyone knows this is now in Power BI correct? Just click on the three ... next to the title in the slicer header.

The "Select All" option disappears when search criteria is entered. When the Select All control is enabled, the "Select All" checkbox should never be hidden! When search criteria is entered, "Select All" should select all non-hidden items (i.e., all items that match the current search criteria). Practical Example: User types "Diabetes Mellitus" in a Slicer of ICD-9 codes, and 32 diabetes mellitus diagnosis codes are returned. User should be able to click the "Select All" checkbox to include all 32 diabetes mellitus codes without selecting any of the hidden codes.
