Single click to filter, double click to drill down

Toggling between filter and drill down can be somewhat annoying once you know exactly what you want to do. What if you could single click a bar in a chart to filter the page for that value, or double click to drill to the next layer?

It would work a lot better when a single click would show details and a double click would give the drill down function when clicking on bars in a graph

The idea is that all current functionality would remain in place, but double clicking a bar in a chart (for example) would be a shortcut for: Double click = 'enable drilldown' + 'click bar' + 'disable drilldown'

Our users are accustomed to the Power View behavior in which a single click makes the data respond with details and a double click drills down. They do not like clicking the circle arrow button to enable, drilling down, and then having to click that button again to regain single click (detail) capability. It was way more intuitive in Power View. Please eliminate the button and bring back this drill down behavior!

When I create a report in desktop with drilldown set in a visualisation, when I publish the report, I need to set it to drill down again each time. I should be able to set this as default behaviour, in the same way as I can set filtering behaviour.

I agreed with Emily. I was confused initially, that why drill down did not work. Then I realize that I have to first activate in order to drill down.

I absolutely agree. It would prevent management to use drill down feature with this setup eventually. Double click would be much easier.

It will be much easier to use a function key to drill up and down dashboard segments without changing the mode between select and drill-down. I think that could be applied for both desktop and web-based products.

Amen! If we really want M2s and M3s, etc. use the drill down feature, it HAS to be more intuitive!

In my experience other BI products handle this differently. I was quite surprised and shocked Power BI makes something all users use so complex! Single click to select, double click to drill down is very intuitive (and most products work this way), so you got my vote.
