Currently, when only the Power BI (.pbix) file is transferred, the file path for the data remains static. This requires users to manually update the data source path every time the data's location changes.
To address this, Power BI could introduce an option to upload and store the data directly within the .pbix file or link it to the user's Microsoft account. This would allow users to easily access their reports and data by simply logging into their account, regardless of the original file path or device.
This enhancement would streamline workflows, reduce dependency on static file paths, and make collaboration across teams more seamless.
