I have a workspace in my environment called "DataSources" with a number of lakehouses in it that use shortcuts to provide linkage (and Workspace Identity based access) to ADLS locations. This works really well, and makes it very simple for my analysts to find the data they need.
I have some upstream data providers that are now also exposing data via Lakehouses themselves, and it would be nice to be able to create a "Lakehouse Shortcut" inside the DataSources workspace that just redirects to the Lakehouse in their environment (instead of building my own lakehouse and creating shortcuts to their lakehouse tables). This would make it so that I can provide a single location for my analysts to go to access/consume "blessed" datasets.
