We have many Excel files on SharePoint Online Document Libraries - well structured and maintained and refreshed. It would be great to be able to point to those directly. The OneDrive for Business is similar, but it would mean we have to duplicate the files from our existing SPO team site. So it would be great to access Excel files located on SPO team site document libraries.

- yiannis_antonioNew MemberI do not think this should be an option to vote on. SPO is Microsoft's standard way of handling document management in Office 365 - support for this should really be out of the box.
- MickNew MemberHowever you implement it, the "one stop shop" concept is going to be important. Users won't want to have to go to Power BI for dashboards, SSRS for reports and SPO for Excel OLAP analyses.
- aligizakisNew MemberWe need to see the implementation of the new powerbi sites under E3 and E4 accounts.

We would like to collaborate our SPO telemetry reports in Excel files and access SPO files in Power BI directly and create dashboard tiles. Do not want to create extra work in storing files in OD4B. - bgirard123New MemberAllow Power BI to have a large document library with metadata column as a refreshable data source.

- sschanbacherNew MemberYes, this is exactly what we need as well! Please make it happen Microsoft! I agree with Yiannis, this should be standard
- fbcideas_migusrNew MemberDefinitely want this. Let us manage the refresh of our excel workbooks ourselves, and then have PowerBI dashboards refresh based on that!
- TheCakeSurgeonNew MemberAbsolutely - if you do it via OneDrive there is no way a traditionnal SharePoint library should be overlooked. It would be great!!
- fbcideas_migusrNew MemberGetting data from Excel files on SPO should be an out of the box feature.
