Select the visual ( the slicer), then in the filter pane, find "On this visual" and the field that the visual uses. select advanced and between

select is less than or equal to end date and input date

select is greater than or equal to start date and input date

after you save it, it will remain that until changed. You can use bookmarks to make a reset button
