Serial No in Visual Table

In Power BI Table and Matrix visual, there is a need for an option to add a serial no. This is pretty useful to refer to which record number people are looking at. User can use Rank, but they might not have a unique rank always

It would be nice if there was even a HASH function in DAX to hash certain values in the row to give a unique "serial" number to be able to determine what row/record a user is referring to.

I'm trying to find a way to show a row count total at the bottom of a table visual. This would help me get there, or at least provide a workaround (as the final detail row would contain the total row count in the serial number field).

It is Good Idea, but Serial number should not change if user sort on different column.
