FYI, you can use Power Update to automatically refresh the OneDrive workbook and then, as Mini Nair mentions, Power BI will automatically pick up the updates from the OneDrive workbook. http://www.powerpivotpro.com/2015/02/introducing-power-update/

'@Ralph: today you can connect to on-premises relational sources such as SQL server from the Power BI designer or Power Query (in Excel) and build reports/dashboards in Power BI. What is currently not supported is refreshing these reports against the on-premises sources. We are actively working on supporting this. In the mean time, you can upload your workbook to OneDrive and update your workbook is onedrive. When the workbook in OneDrive gets updated, Power BI will automatically pick up the updates & refresh your reports. check this out - http://support.powerbi.com/knowledgebase/articles/471009-excel-data-stored-in-onedrive Instead of connecting to relational sources, if you want to connect to an on-premises SQL Server Analysis Services Tabular Server you can do that today. You can read more about it here - http://support.powerbi.com/knowledgebase/articles/471577-configure-a-power-bi-analysis-services-connector Hope this helps!

'@Manjunath, @Dhananjay: we are working on it actively. I do not have a concrete date to share with, we want to enable it in the next couple of months. I hope this information helps.

Hi Guys, Maybe you know this, but anyway I have SQL 2014 Enterprise edition, running SSAS tabular (3 data models), when connected to PowerBI, I don't need to refresh anything is the SQL job manager who does the job... Captain obvious maybe, but just saying... In a related subject for me the most important thing right now is to have Cortana in windows 10 talking via PowerBI to On-Prem sever (SSAS Tabular in my case). Many user will like just to ask 4 - 5 questions directly every morning to their PC, if they need to see something more in detail then you can use PowerBI and if really need to pump it that powerpoint the use Excel ;).

Hey Mini Nair, Could you please let us know when will this feature be out? my work is on hold and waiting for this feature to be added as early as possible. If you could let me know the date, then I will plan my work accordingly. Thanks.
