I believe this would be a deciding factor with my decisions on using Power BI. If I can't integrate my on-prem data and be able to refresh the data on an on-going basis, Power BI will have very little value to my organization.

I hope this doesn't mean the SSAS connecter that only allows us to extract flattened data from cubes. We need live connectivity to the cube as a replacement for a data model.

Not just on-premise databases, but being able to schedule refresh of data that uses SQL statements to access it. Being able to filter down data in the database instead of sending it all across the wire to Power Query would be very useful. Also, this enables reports against subsets of large datasets which exceed the 1M row limit.

'@Will, Do you have any time for this? Thanks.

I would not consider this product as 'fully featured' unless it includes this item. I would not recommend this to our consulting clients unless it was available.

Hi, We are looking into supporting refresh of on premises data sources such as sql server, oracle, etc. We'll get started on it soon.

Thanks for the reply Will. I'd really like to see some of these: a SQL server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Hortonworks Hadoop Hive, Spark SQL, Pivotal Greenplum, Google BigQuery. Thank you.
