Are we planning to also support ROLAP in this scenario?

I also would like to see the ability to connect to SSAS cubes (OLAP) on-premise as an option escalated. We have a new Sharepoint site we are ready to deploy and also a new Tablet solution rolling out in 2015 and this could be the killer app for both and a great addition to our tools/investment in SQL that we have made in the past.

Making sure this is OLAP and not "just" TABULAR

Enable SSAS cubes to be consumed and hopefully respect security settings in the cube as well

Is there any plan to bring component similar to Microsoft Office Web Components(Pivot Grid) which uses as Microsoft OLAP Data Cubes. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc197469(v=office.12).aspx As Microsoft Office web component are stoping there support going forward from 2016, so we are looking an alternate(Similar) component to display the Data Cube data.

For us it is really important. Otherwise, it makes no sense, since the update dozens or hundreds millions rows from the fact table in powerbi not real without partitioning

Please escalate this. We are planning to move forward with PowerBI on large scale but have a huge investment in Multidimensional cubes for a long time. Without the support we cannot move forward

Hi, just reinforcing the urgency of this. Customers roadmap on hold waiting for this specific feature. (note: on hold regarding Microsoft platform,... pressure is high these days, they won't wait forever... 😞 ) My concern on not having a firm timeline, is that it will never happen, or way too late for most customers. (excel powerview multidimensional comes to mind) Also important to know, expected limitations as I am sure they will exist, ex: will it work with QA? what won't work with cubes?
