Currently when using SQLDB if we enter the server name / dns into SSMS or another tool it will fail as the connection defaults to master and the yser has no rights. We then have to manually add database, which is a GUID iso impossible to remember!
Please allow the user(s) public rightsr in the master so that we can connect in SSMS and other tools and then select the database from pull down.
This is how every other edition of SQL works!

Status changed:NewtoAbandonedWe are going to clean up the database name, but we won't be allowing connection access to master.
- BobDuffyIRLRegular VisitorCan get a change so that the "default" database for a user in Fabric SQLDB is not master then ? Why mak3e the default database something that no one is allowed connect to ? makes not sense. If we did that, then SSMS would just work with only specifying the host name. IK added a new idea for this https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Fabric-Ideas/Make-the-user-database-the-default-instead-of-master/idi-p/4639806#M160051
