SAP Business Warehouse connector include SAP router string

My organisation only allows connectivity to the SAP BW system (or any SAP system) using the SAP router string. It would be beneficial to allow this type of connectivity rather than just providing the application server.

this is a very important topic and quite a showstopper for large enterprise which only use only SAP router's to connect to any SAP BW,ERP or HANA systems. I hope Microsoft can provide us a quick update on this topic.

Hello, Only to insist in the situation. It's needed to provide a solution for not to decide another tool to acces SAP BW Data. SAP Basis Admin in the cliente only allows conexions as /H/SAProuteAddres/S/portSAPRouteAddres/H/SapServerAddres . I'm with Power Bi desktop 32 bits and SapConnector 3.0 following the instructions https://docs.microsoft.com/es-es/power-bi/desktop-sap-bw-connector

This is a serious problem. This explicitly means that every organisation using SAP Router will not be able to connect their data with Power BI.

Since 2016 and still today October 3rd 2019, it is impossible to connect Microsoft Power BI to SAP when SAP uses router string - like other software concurrents in 2014 !

Waiting for it - love the front-end but if I can't access the data it's useless
