Row-level security (RLS) control based on Entra ID job information

Designing RLS based on department affiliation requires separate management of which users are linked to which departments, which makes maintenance difficult. This information may be held in EntraID job information, and using that information in RLS would resolve the issue.

Our enterprise is facing the same limitation with RLS functions available today within OneLake Security. We would love to filter on user- or extension attribute values of the EntraID User. In addition we would love to have an IS_MEMBER function to check if the user is part of one ore more EntraID Security Groups. This is essential to make OneLake Security Adoption possible for big enterprises!
