Restrict User Access to certain data sources in 'Get Data'

Create user role that an administrator could apply restrictions to. For example, limit connections to SSAS Tabular models, while still allowing user to view reports built from SSAS Tabular models.

Imagine you are a SAAS provider who has many customers and you provide a multi-tenant SAAS solution. Your customers have many data sources. You can provide your own solution to your customers but then they end up gathering and downloading your data "by hand" (in Excel or CSV) and then persisting these chunks on their sites, to be queried and integrated with other data sources by a BI solution the customer uses. This BI solution could be Power BI, which can access your cube. BUT only if access control is in place - obviously one customer should not see the data of your other customers.

Yes - I agree with Marc Schulper. We need a solution where the filters or dataset can be locket after who is logged on. Like using groups - but without the possibility of removing the filter.
