I would like to request an enhancement to Power BI Semantic Models that allows manual refresh of a single table
In many real-world scenarios, semantic models contain multiple large tables where only one table requires frequent or ad-hoc refresh. Currently, even small data changes force a full model refresh, which:-
Increases refresh time unnecessarily
Consumes additional capacity and resources
Impacts report availability for users during refresh
An Additional manual “Refresh Table” option at the table level (similar to Power Query or partition-level refresh, but available through the UI) would significantly improve performance, flexibility, and operational efficiency—especially for large enterprise models.
This feature would be extremely valuable for scenarios such as:-
Incremental or reference table updates
Correcting data in a single fact or dimension table
Faster troubleshooting and validation during development
Thank you for considering this request. Please let me know if there is an existing roadmap item or recommended workaround for achieving this behavior today.
Best regards,
Dhruv
