Refreshing Usage Metric Reports

1. I would like the semantic model to be refreshed even if I have not accessed the original Usage Metrics report for over two months and have only accessed the copied Usage Metrics report.
2. if semantic model is stopped refreshing, I would like to be able to automatically refresh the semantic model by accessing the usage metric report again.

Or just make it visible like any other semantic model, so we can schedule refresh, get alerted if problems, etc. Just allow us to access the underlying usage/audit data via a data-source so that we can manage our own semantic model and reports.
