Refresh only New Data or Modified File in Folder

My data read from a folder. Everyday I will put in a new file into the folder and when click refresh it will refresh all file in the folder which is time consuming. Can we have an option to "refresh only new file". The process of "refresh only new data" will be: 1) Any last modified file: based on modified date and changed name (so that it wont confuse as new file) 2) Any newly included file

This is a must have function. Power query pulls data from 70 Excel files save by business units (BUs). That data is review by management. Some BUs may be required to modify data in their files. Power query needs to incorporate data from all files, but needs to refresh only for modified files. This would be a great time saver.

We produce daily Excel spreadsheets that contain 5-10MB of data each. My historical data WILL NOT change. I need a means of refreshing with the prior days data WITHOUT having to refresh all of my historical data.

Please implement!

Agree this would be good to have out of the box.
