Refresh/Re-Import PowerPivot Data Model & Measures
Need ability to update the Power BI designer file by re-importing the PowerPivot model. If you add new datasources, measures, etc into your PowerPivot model the option to import new sources/measures or a complete refresh would prevent having to rebuild the entire Power BI report from scratch.

- AboamahNew MemberThat will be a very great feature to have. Does anybody know a workaround?
- Shawn_EganNew Memberthis should automatically happen when you hit refresh OR be given the option to refresh from power pivot data model.
- psheridanAdvocate IVCant believe this still hasnt been implemented. Maintaining several powerpivot models, and also power bi models is becoming less sustainable. Need to be able to re-import or update my pbix file from the a powerpivot model.
- psheridanAdvocate IVjust posted this in the desktop section, hopefully will get more attention. https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/13718868-update-measures-from-powerpivot-model

- prateek18juNew MemberHi All, I imported one Power-Pivot model from an Excel file to Power BI desktop (I downloaded it free from Microsoft site). After that I made some modifications to the Power-Pivot model (let's say, a table which had 1000 rows when the Power-Pivot model was imported to Power BI Desktop, now has 1500 rows after modification to Power-Pivot model) and tried to refresh the data in Power BI desktop. The table didn't get refreshed in Power BI Desktop and still shows 1000 rows (not 1500). Is there any resolution to this issue?

- cenigkNew MemberI agree with below, it would be a valuable and time saving addition to have Power BI update everything from the Powerpivot model upon refresh.
- abhishekk_28New MemberAny Workaround for this? BI does not seem to be doing this even now.
