Rebinding a report is very useful for testing a report in a feature workspace against semantic models across dev/test/prod.
Or if you're working on multiple semantic models, for example one Import mode version and one Direct Lake version, it would be great to easily switch the report's source from one semantic model to another.
The API/Semantic link way to do it is cumbersome and often throws an error (I can't remember the error message right now).
The easiest alternative today is to download the report, open it in Power BI Desktop -> Data source settings -> Choose another semantic model. We need this option in the Web Editor as well.
