Provide support for Custom Calendars AND default Time Intelligence Functions
Currently, the native Time Intelligence functions work on the basis of having a regular calendar There are many instances of custom calendars like Retail 4-4-5 In order to get 'time intelligence' you can replicate the standard functions with more longwinded DAX I would like to see out-of-the-box support for custom calendars

- awilbournNew MemberI believe the 4-5-4 is similar to a 4-4-5 accounting calendar. There are some common calendars for running business, so we to request that time calculations can be set to use standard periods such as 4-4-5 and not based on a calendar year.
- zollerNew MemberThis is a common problem, very surprised it doesn't have more votes.
- j_hoskinsonNew MemberYes!!!! You can't use any of the quick measure time intelligence features with customer calendars, among other pain points. This would save me a few hours a week. Also, there are several custom calendar idea submissions on this board. It might be a good idea for the support team to consolidate them to get a better gauge of the interest in customer calendars.
- nishalitNew MemberSupport for Custom Calendar such as 4-5-4 so that data can be analyzed for Current and Prior Periods using DAX such as TOTALYTD etc.
- nishalitNew MemberIt would be great if there was a way to set a custom calendar. Currently all the calendar functions such as YTD, MTD, QTD, etc. function off of a standard calendar. But a large swath of industries work with different fiscal calendars, for example a Q2-Q2 calendar or in retail where fiscal calendars tend to start post February. It would be great if we could define a start / end date for the year and define period start/end dates for months, quarters, etc.

- nishalitNew MemberI'm using a custom retail calendar, but once published on powerbi.com the system get the date column as the reference. so when the user are using the Q&A feature and ask for this year sales, the wrong year is returned.
